So as promised, I've just posted the 2nd illustrated short film "Swimming Underground". Kathy Ross and I are having so much fun collaborating on these creations. This short has a very different flavor/feeling than "The Dream" - Kathy's words and imagery have such depth and feeling. My challenge was to find the right music (which I did!) and to voice the story with the appropriate tone. I let the story and images guide my editing choices and Kathy and I reworked both words and images as needed. We are both very pleased with the end product and we hope our viewers will enjoy as well. And now we are starting work on film #3...stay tuned!

Well, as it turns out, I've been kind of busy since that first post over 2 years ago...which is a good thing in my business. Lots of interesting work along the way, but what I'm most excited about right now is a new creative venture of Illustrated Shorts. The very first one, 'The Dream' is now uploaded on this site in the Short Films part of My Portfolio. Please take 5 minutes to watch. You'll be delighted I'm sure because of the fanciful story and the incredible illustrations by my friend Kathy Ross. It has been a wonderful collaboration and now we are working on our 2nd project entitled 'Swimming Underground' which will be under 2 minutes. We have lots of good story ideas and we are beginning to work our way through them. Stay tuned.
The very first post
I'm launching this new site so that I can more easily share news and updates to my portfolio. Change is always a challenge, always disruptive and always leads to bigger and better outcomes. It's good to shake things up and to stretch our minds and bodies in pursuit of more creative thought. That's what is on my mind these days and I must say, it's pretty darn exciting!!!
